Vorige week is er een nieuwe versie van de SharePoint Learning Kit gelanceerd, met deze gratis tool, kan je opdrachten toewijzen aan je studenten. En natuurlijk geintegreerd in de SharePoint omgeving. De grootste veranderingen zijn:
- Het kunnen gebruiken van AD groepen als studenten (ipv individueel studenten toevoegen kan het nu op basis van groepen)
- Betere ondersteuning van andere talen
- Diverse bugs
Je kan het hier downloaden. Het werkt zowel op WSS 3.0 als MOSS 2007

Let wel op, voor deze site is wel de laatste versie van Siverlight nodig. Het kan zijjn dat je eerste de oude versie moet de-installeren. Heb je nog geen silverlight dan wordt je gevraagd om deze te installeren.

Voor het populaire communicatiepakket (email alleen is het niet meer :) ), Microosft Exchange 2007 is Service Pack 1 gelanceerd. deze kan je hier downloaden.

• Webready document viewer supports Microsoft Office 2007 documents in addition to Microsoft Office 2003 documents.
• Extended language support in Outlook Web Access with Arabic and Korean spell checking.
Operational Efficiency
• Support for Windows Server 2008 deployments, including benefits in flexible clustering, advanced networking, and simplified management.
• Additional tools in the Exchange Management Console, including public folder management and configuration options for clustering and POP/IMAP access.
• Improvements to the Exchange Management Shell syntax and import-export PST in the move-mailbox command.
• Wider variety of web services for application development, including public folder access, delegate management, and folder level permissions.
Built-in Protection
• Addition of Standby Continuous Replication (SCR) for site resilient high availability deployments.
• Extended Exchange ActiveSync policies for mobile policy enforcement.
• Information rights management pre-licensing by the Hub Transport role.
• Secure Real Time Protocol (SRTP) support in the Unified Messaging role.
• Support for IPv6 when using Windows Server 2008.
Misschien heb je er al van gehoord, maar Microsoft heeft een eigen Search Server gelanceerd, genaamd Microsoft Search Server. Ik heb een leuke video gevonden waarin wordt uitgelegd wat je met dit product allemaal kan als eindgebruiker:

Oplossingen binnen het onderwijs kunnen zijn:
- Intranet van de school indexeren
- FileShares indexeren (natuurlijk gebaseerd op je rechten)
- SharePoint omgevingen indexeren
- Bibliotheeksysteem doorzoekbaar maken.
Als je het wilt testen, kan je het product hier gratis downloaden. Daarnaast is er ook een download bare VHD image (Voor virtual pc), deze kan je hier downloaden.
Ben je op school bezig met Visual Studio, dan zal je waarschijnlijk al weten dat er vorige week een nieuwe versie van visual studio gelanceerd is, versie 2008. Hiervoor is nu een training kit beschikbaar gesteld, waarin hands on labs, presentaties, sample code aanwezig is.
