Microsoft Photosynth is nu eindelijk beschikbaar gekomen voor iedereen. Met dit programma is het nu mogelijk eigen foto's te uploaden tot een 3D omgeving.

Photosynth takes a collection of regular photographs and reconstructs the scene or object in a 3-D environment. For those of you who have seen the videos or tried our tech preview, you could experience synths that we made in the lab and get a feel for what Photosynth is and how it works. But now, for the first time ever you can create synths from your own pictures and share them with your friends. Explore great synths from others or create a few of your own.

Of bekijk hier een voorbeeld, let wel op er dient een applicatie op je pc geinstalleerd te worden.
Microsoft heeft een website gelanceerd wat de roadmap van educatie oplossingen voor de komende jaren.

Op de website kan je allerlei resources vinden over de huidige oplossingen die wij aanbieden, maar ook onze visie op de oplossingen voor onderwijs. Onder downloads is er bijvoorbeeld een whitepaper te downloaden wat de visie op onderwijs is bij Microsoft.
Via een collega kwam ik deze link tegen op technet. Het betreft een voorbeeld over een leeromgeving dat gebouwd is binnen SharePoint.

For example, students can access class materials and blog about what they are learning during their travels to World War I sites in England or overseas trips to geological sites in New Zealand.

Het architectuurdocument over de oplossing kan je hier downloaden
Deze week ontving ik een e-mail over Windows Live Video Message. Dit lijkt op een product waarmee je op elke computer (inclusief een webcam) video boodschappen kan opnemen en deze delen met andere mensen. Helaas komt dit product pas 9.9.2008 uit, dus ik kan er eigenlijk nog niks meer over vertellen dan dit....
maar Willem gaf deze informatie erbij, die ik trouwens eergisteren nog niet kon vinden die knop :) :

Vandaag heeft het educatie team van Microsoft een nieuwe website gelanceerd met leuke nieuwe whitepapers en natuurlijk een nieuwe look.

Heb je ook zo'n leuk digitaal fotolijstje thuis staan en kan je via het apparaat online foto's bekijken dan is dit misschien een leuke toevoeging, Windows Live FrameIt. Met Frameit kan je eigen online foto collecties maken, het leuke is dat ze niet alleen uit foto's kunnen bestaan, maar ook uit nieuws en weerinformatie. Zo kan je ook eenvoudig een RSS feed van je vrienden foto's tonen in je collectie.

Windows Live FrameIt allows you to gather images and content from across the Internet onto your digital photo frame. You can use FrameIt to include information services, like weather forecasts, amongst your digital photos.
You can also use it to gather digital photos from your friends and family onto your frame. Even if everyone you know is using a different photo sharing service, you can include their photos on your frame. To do this, you need to know the RSS feed for their photos or you can use the media sources we've created for various sites.
